Deimantė Samulionytė
Montessori Co-Teacher
Hello, I am Deimantė Samulionytė, graduated master student in sport education. Sport is great for a child to develop not only their physical qualities but also to express themselves by playing games. Movements and physical activity provide an opportunity for kids to express feelings, communicate, get to know the environment and it’s objects and their properties.
I am always looking for ways to improve and challenge myself. In 2019, I did an internship in Portsmouth, UK, with the Erasmus + program. During this internship I gained a lot of knowledge and new international experience such as working with children in camps of all ages. In the camps I was responsible for sports activities, education and morning exercises.
Before I started working with the Montessori method, I knew very little bit about it. Since then I have come to find the Montessori education system very useful and interesting, especially in the modern world. In my opinion one of the great aspects of Montessori methodology is that it helps each child to reach their full potential in all areas of life. I am excited about my opportunity to work here as a teacher’s assistant in the community of Vilniaus Montessori pre-schools. This opportunity provides great motivation to improve, challenge myself and gain new knowledge from professional specialists.
